Significance: Important as physical expression of the importance of Georgia's cotton culture. Architecturally, a good example of Eclectic/Late Victorian motifs. Architect William G. Preston active in Savannah during the 1880's and 1890's. Building rated "Exceptional" in Historic Savannah Foundation Survey. Integral part of Savannah National Register Historic District.
