Summary

A man and his wife construct a car out of furniture, rope, and other found materials, scattered on the floor before them. They stand beside an upended table, to which four upright chairs have been secured.

The published caption reads: Start with the dining-room table. Having decided which end shall form the front of the car, saw off the two legs at the end, in the manner indicated. Chairs must then be placed in position and secured with a disused clothes-line.
