Torpedo Assembly Shop, Second & H Streets, Keyport, Kitsap County, WA
Summary
Significance: It is associated with the accelerated development of the station during mobilization for WWII. It was initially a torpedo shop used to accommodate wartime demands for increased torpedo production, but currently serves as an electronics assembly shop. It is an industrial vernacular building with some Art Moderne elements. Except for the replacement of the original windows with hinged aluminum units, and a rollup door, the integrity of the original design and details has been retained.
