Summary
Significance: It is associated with the build up of naval facilities on Ford Island in the early 1940s. It is a unique building type at the installation. Facility No. 166 is in a grouping of buildings that were support facilities for the aircraft carriers which docked on the west side of Ford Island. It is a contributing property to the Pearl Harbor National Historic Landmark.
