Summary
Significance: It was built as a casualty station as a direct reaction to the attack of Pearl Harbor. Casualty stations were a category of splinter-proof shelters, built to provide quick treatment to victims during an attack. The military installations in Hawaii are the only known locations of this type of construction. This building is contributing property to the Pearl Harbor National Historic Landmark.
