John Janson, 16 yrs old, from Phoenix, Ariz., whose parents are both registered democrats, last night took first place in finals of a nation wide oratorical contest sponsored by the Young Republican national Federation. The youngest of eight finalists who addressed over five hundred people in Washington. He was awarded the first prize of thousand dollars for his speech supporting observance of the Constitution as the foundation of individual liberties, 11/2/38
