The Twombley School, Brush, Colo., with 13 pupils present out of a possible 25, on Oct. 27, seven weeks after school opened, and a few of the beet workers families have already finished and returned to town. The school is very well equipped and well kept, with a capable man teacher, good playground apparatus, etc. Location: Brush, Colorado / Photo by Hine.

These two and mother and made 70 to 80 cents a day. Much of this money goes to pay rent for [...] in Buffalo, that is reserved through the summer. All three worked in sheds.
