Summary
Significance: This is the only graving dock facility in the Eastern Carribbean. Thus, the facility played an important role in the repair and redeployment of battleships, carriers and smaller warships for the duration of WWII. Afterwards it has remained the only facility in this region capable of repairing tankers, cargo ships, cruise ships and ocean-crossing ferries.
