Print shows a "common" councilman and his wife who are shocked by the jumble of architectural styles in the "modern built villa" which includes a Georgian entry, gothick and venetian windows, chinoiserie tower topped with a dragon, as well as a garden temple. They tumble from their hansom cab, breaking a shaft in the process; the man lands on the horse's back, his wig on the horse's head, and his wife is sprawled upon the ground.
