Jares of Chicago (center) has treated 12,000 ailing natives of Montenegro, during his first six months as medical director of the American Red Cross unit to that Balkan country. He is photographed with his staff of native assistants whom he has trained himself at the Red Cross hospital in Podgoritza. Dr. Jaros is the best known doctor in the country, having given some personal attention to each one of these thousands of cases. Before joining the American Red Cross in Montenegro, Jr. Jaros had served with distinction in the American Expeditionary Forces in France
