Summary
Significance: Headquarters to the Third Judicial District in 1900, this building served as courthouse for Judge James Wickersham, noted Alaskan. The lumber was cut at Fort Egbert, hardware purchased locally, and remained the courthouse until 1904 when headquarters was removed to Fairbanks. The building continued to be used by the U.S. Marshall and Commissioner until 1951.
