Summary
Ivory mouthpiece.
Instrument type: Clarinet in D
Medium: Ivory, silver keys, highly engraved, with highly engraved gold plate soldered to key, all key toneholes silver bushed.; 52.1 cm.
Key Holes System: 5 keys, shallow oval cups, pin in block.
Mark Additional: On each gold plate is an initial letter: B, ?, A, L, L.
Condition: Bottom of bell has large chip, detached.
Provenance: M. Earl, Oakland, California, 31 Oct. 1924.
The Dayton C. Miller collection in the Library of Congress, contains nearly 1,700 flutes and other wind instruments, statuary, iconography, books, music, trade catalogs, tutors, patents, and other materials mostly related to the flute.
