First Baptist Meetinghouse, 75 North Main Street, Providence, Providence County, RI
Significance: This is the third meeting house of the first Baptist church in America, founded in 1638 by Roger Williams. The present building, a well-known architectural monument, was built in 1774-1775, and designed by Joseph Brown following English models.
