Summary

Significance: One of second two NCO Quarters, this duplex is identical in plan to #903. Completed March 31, 1904, from QMGO Plan No. 82-E. Original cost: $5,108. Two and one-half story and basement frame structure with a sandstone and brick foundation. Dimensions of original: 38' x 27', kitchen wing: 10' x 38'. Lapped cedar siding. Cross-gable roof has asphalt replacing slate shingles. Six-over-six light, double-hung sash. Full width porch with columns, pipe railings and roll roofing. Mirror image interior with side hall plans. Open rear porches enclosed and converted to kitchens, 1937. Maple flooring downstairs, vinyl tile upstairs (date uncertain). Bathrooms updated. Coal stove heating now replaced by hot water boiler, 1961. Electricity replaced mineral oil lamps, ca. 1908. Hall/parlor partitions removed after 1964. Louvered shutters removed (date uncertain).
