Gasoline rationing. Previous to the adoption of the new "A" gasoline ration books, service station and garage attendants were often deluged with calls from motorists requesting the reservation of specified amounts of gasoline. Here, the manager of a cooperative filling station records such an entry from a regular customer. The rationing system was designed to alleviate this condition
