Gathering up the refugees. Getting together the women and children of Poland, left homeless by the ravages of war, is one of the tasks under taken by the American Red Cross relief workers in this unhappy country. Found living in hovels under the most insanitary conditions, they are brought to a central point, given a bath and clean clothing and transported to places free from the typhus epidemic. Those infected with typhus are isolated and nursed back to health
