Summary
Significance: Part of an ongoing project to document the evolution of the Columbia River gillnet boat, Bumble Bee 11 is an example of a square-sterned bowpicker with V-8 engine. Bumble Bee 11 an early motorized wooden, transom-sterned, aft-cabin, bowpicker built in the Columbia River for use in Bristol Bay, Alaska. It has a rare "tunnel hull" to reduce draft and allow for navigation in shallow waters.
