Summary: At the time of Isaac Haines's death, he owned 170 acres of land. His estate was $2,314.59 in debt. Lucy Haines, the administratrix of Isaac Haines's estate, sued the two minor heirs to sell the land to pay the debts of the estate. The court appointed Lincoln as guardian ad litem for the minor heirs. The court ruled for Lucy Haines and ordered her to sell the land. Lucy Haines sold the land for $1,915.50.
