Summary
Significance: 22 by 100 foot lock constructed in 1829 by the Lehigh Coal and Navigation Company. The tenth of twelve locks in the 5.5 mile Section One between Dam 1 at Jim Thorpe and the outlet lock at Parryville. Loft: 7.8 feet. Condition: mitre gates lying in master overflow, lock in stable condition but part of west wall is washed out, a timber and concrete spillway has been built at the upstream end and there is a good flow of water over it and through the bypass channel.
