Loa dicha por una cocinera y un aguador, en honor de Nuestra Señora del Rosario

description

Summary

Broadside, on recto, shows a woman with a shawl over her head and man with water jugs at his feet. On the verso is an image of a Madonna with a snake, partial globe, and cherubs at her feet. Cherubs also appear in the clouds above her. The text, in verse, is a dialog between the female cook and the male water carrier. He wants her to join him for a drink, but she says she is not that type of woman, she has work to do by tending to her lady. At the end of the playlet they join a procession honoring the Madonna. On the verso there is also a prayer to Our Lady of the Rosary.
