Summary
Significance: Mr. Hunt died in 1870 and after remaining at Loudoun for 14 years Mrs. Hunt sold the building with the 125 acres that comprised the estate to Col. Wm. Cassius Goodloe. Col. Goodloe also acquired 40 acres from The Meadows, the adjoining estate. After Col. Goodloe's death his widow sold the lower part of the front yard for building lots and after her death the place was sold in 1923 to Judge J.F. Bailey who occupied it for a time and later sold it to the city as a public playground.
