Summary
Significance: The Morgan County Home represents the "indoor" system of poor relief that became prevalent in the mid-nineteenth century. The indigent were housed in county-built structures and farmed the attached land. The structure is one of the oldest surviving examples of this type of institutional architecture in Ohio.
