Summary
Significance: The Oakgrove Road Bridge is a 147' bowstring arch truss bridge. Such bridges were popular in the nineteenth century, especially in Ohio. This is an example of "Column Plate and Channel Arch Bridge" based on patents by David Hammond, Michael Adler and Job Abbott, and built by their company, the Wrought Iron Bridge Company of Canton Ohio.
