Paper; heavy but soft cream-colored paper; each page is covered with drawings in reddish-sepia or golden-colored inks(?) which may be residue from original gold leaf, with details in black ink; the Persian 'flying' script is large and in red ink. typically Iranian are the images of the sun with faces; also contains charts of the heavens, tables of numbers, images of horses, deer and hunters(?); a large serpent or snake fills the outside margins on each page, perhaps representing the heavens and constellations.
