Strawberry Valley Project, Payson, Utah County, UT
Summary
Significance: As the first project built by the U.S. Reclamation Service in Utah, the Strawberry Valley Project had a major impact on the State. It represents the beginning of Federal assistance in water development, development on which the rest of the State's economy depends. The Project had a major impact on the way water is developed and distributed in Utah, by heralding the era of large storage dams and distribution systems.
