Summary

Significance: Structure EE is a valve box. The valve box is located on the top of a broad, flat, west to east trending ridge which serves as the top south edge of Horse Thief Draw. The valve box is located approximately 7/8 mile northwest of Superior. The valve box is a wood lined pit which is square in shape. The pit is 2 feet 9 inches north to south by 2 feet 10 inches east to west and 3 feet 6 inches deep to fill. The wood lining consists of vertically set milled lumber boards and quarter round secured by a frame of horizontal boards fastened to the interior surfaces of the box at its top. The valve box is partially filled with sediment covering the valve and pipe. The valve box extends 2 feet 0 inches above present ground surface and is partially covered by three milled lumber boards which have been fastened to the frame with wire nails.
