Summary

Significance: The Vicksburg, Shreveport & Pacific Railroad depot was built sometime around 1909-1914 on its present location in Arcadia, Louisiana. It was operated by the V,S,&P along the line then known as the "Queen and Crescent Route." The line was since sold to Illinois Central Railroad and later to Illinois Central Gulf. Ownership has now been transferred to the township of Arcadia with the intention of refurbishing it for a museum.
