Whiddon Log Cabin, U.S. Route 98, Hampton Springs, Taylor County, FL
Summary
Significance: The Whidden Cabin, built in 1864, replaced an earlier structure destroyed by Confederate troops during the War Between the States. The structure is a good example of double-pen log cabin construction with only minor changes. The Whiddon Cabin was moved in 1972 from its original site to the Forest Capital State Park.
