Summary

Significance: The ranger station was built by a portion of the 200-man Civilian Conservation Corps that was employed at the park the summers of 1938-39. The station was built to serve as quarters at the west end of the park road near the northwest park boundary. It is a focal point for an increasing amount of visitor and governmental activity in the Wonder Lake area.
