Capitol guides get new uniforms. Washington, D.C., April 2. U.S. Capitol guides appeared for the first time today in their new uniforms of navy blue. The only ornament on the uniform is the badge of silver. One of the few women guides, Miss Olga Rice, is shown wearing the new outfit as she pilots a party through the famous building, 4/2/38

New Maritime Commission acts for first time, Washington, D.C. Sept. 29. The newly created Maritime Commission meeting for the first time today sent telegrams to West Coast shippers and union officials asking that working contract, which expire today, be extended for 60 days in an effort to prevent a maritime tieup. Apostolic delegate sees reporters in new headquarters. Washington, D.C., April 20. The most Reverend Amleto Giovanni Cicognani, apostolic delegate to the U.S., received reporters and photographers for the first time today in his new quarters to which the staff recently moved. The new marble buildings is on 'Embassy Row' on upper Massachusetts Avenue here
