Summary
Significance: Building 455 & 1391 were originally one structure. Building 455 was constructed as a gunnery school in 1943. The fleet gunnery school which occupied Building 445 was organized as a result of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. It became the largest naval gunfire school in the Pacific during WWII and trained thousands of Navy gunners.
