Summary

Instrument type: Oboe in C
Medium: Wood, likely boxwood, stained dark and varnished, nickel silver keys and one ferrule, ivory ferrules. See Condition.; 52.4 cm.
Key Holes System: 15 keys, modern style key cups, post and rod. Duplicate F, E-flat holes, low B activated by LH little finger. Single holes 3 and 4. Tuning hole on bell.
Mark Maximum: No mark.
Condition: Some finish worn. Currently finished with nickel silver ferrule from another instrument.
Provenance: H. Manière, Paris, 5 Aug. 1931.

Miller collection in the Library of Congress, contains nearly 1,700 flutes and other wind instruments, statuary, iconography, books, music, trade catalogs, tutors, patents, and other materials mostly related to the flute.
