De Land pool. Skilled craftsmen. Ben Stephens tramped six miles into De Land, Florida three times a week last fall to attend the city's vocational school, established to provide workers for the community war-production pool. He welds, runs an acetylene cutting machine, and doubles in brass on woodworking and the assembly line in the Babcock plant, prime contractors of the pool. He plans to put his sixty-five-year-old father on the job as his helper when he is fully trained.
