Significance: This 18th century house was the original one on this site and has always been a family residence. The various owners have had the advantages of above average education and wealth so that the house has never fallen into serious disrepair. Careful maintenance and modernization through the years have allowed its residents to live comfortably while the house has kept its 18th century character.
