First baseball stamp comes off press. Washington, D.C., May 26. Postmaster General James. A. Farley points to the first batch of the new baseball stamps as they come off the press at the Bureau of Engraving and Printing today. The stamp is being issued and will be first placed on sale at Cooperstown, N.Y., where it is said the first game was played.
