Summary
Print shows, on the right "Liberty is torn from her Temple by a hired band of Ruffians bound & going to be Sacrificed to the rage of these Ignorant People; ..." and on the left, artists and artisans, a mother with two children, and others are driven away by booted thugs with clubs, at center a spinning wheel burns, a boy adds a book "Fine Arts" to the fire, and an old man breaks in half the staff of Liberty. Additional scenes of merriment and chaos take place in the background.
