Summary
Significance: Built in 1854, it is one of the 2 oldest houses in Smithfield. The frame work is put together with wood pegs. Its sills and floor joists are hand hewn solid hearth pine logs. Except for kitchen and dining rooms on the rear, which were removed in order to relocate on its present sire, the house is still in its original shape.
