May get post of Comptroller General. Washington, D.C. Aug. 18. Charles M. Galloway, now Counsel of the General Accounting Office, is believed to have the inside track for the post of Comptroller General recently vacated by John R. McCarl, whose 15-year term expired. Galloway, a former newspaperman of Columbia, S.C., was a member of the United States Civil Service Commission 1913-19 under President Woodrow Wilson
