One of several drawings that accompanied an article in The Press about Nast and his art. The article follows Nast on a visit to Washington where he sketched various political figures. Morse was a four-term Republican Congressman from Massachusetts whom Nast encountered while being interviewed by The Press. The newspaper quotes Nast as saying that, "Those [Morse's] whiskers are enough to make fame for the possessor."
