Summary
Significance: The building is important for its design and as the headquarters for the base operations. Building 1 was one of the earliest permanent buildings built at Naval Air Station Barbers Point. It was based on a design by Albert Kahn for a similar operations building located at Naval Air Station Kaneohe (now Marine Corps Base Kaneohe).
