Summary
Significance: This is the only known remaining example at Naval Air Station Barbers Point (NAS BP) of this type of personnel shelter, a distinctive construction type erected in the aftermath of the Japanese attack on Hawaii on December 7, 1941. It is also a contributing element to a potential historic district that includes the revetments of the former Marine Corps Air Station Ewa.
