No. 653: Stationary Parade aids New York City's last big drive for the Red Cross. Hundreds of women stood at the curb on both sides of Fifth Avenue from 30th to 50th Streets at intervals of 10 feet. They wor uniforms of white with a sash bearing the words "Help the Red Cross." This was done as a climax in the big drive for 100,000,000 dollars.
