description

Summary

Index data: 1-16, These photographs are taken on and around a high rocky hill just North of the community of Diamond Hill and possibly the source of that communities name. It is on the road to Grant Mills; 1-9, Looking southwest and west from the hill; 10-11, Graffiti on the hill; 14-16, Trash at the place where cars park at the bottom of the hill; 17-18, Bathtub Madonna at Grant Mills; 19-32, Statue and Church in North Scituate. Some young people nearby said they thought it was a Baptist Church. But it is only a black from the North Scituate Baptist and their information maybe incorrect. It did not have a sign. They told me that some of the seats near the door of the church face backwards and that those seats were built that way in the Indian days so that some people in church could watch for impending Indian attacks; 33-36, Sport fishing at Narragansett Pier
