Black Hawk Bridge, Spanning Mississippi River at State Highway 9, Lansing, Allamakee County, IA
Summary
Significance: This bridge was the only highway bridge over the Mississippi River in the northeast Iowa area at the time of its construction and has played a significant role in the development of that region. The Black Hawk Bridge is one of only five extant long-span cantilevered trusses in Iowa.
