Burial of the American soldier victims of the Otranto disaster. At this ceremony, held on the afternoon of Oct. 11, 1919, bodies were laid to rest. The coffin nearest the camera contains the body of the brave Capt. of the Otranto. The chief mourners at the graveside were British and American military, naval and Red Cross officers. The burial place is at Kilchoman, Islay, at a spot overlooking the scene of the tragedy
