Summary
Shows the location at Harrison's Landing, along the James River, of the camps of the U.S. Army of the Potomac after the Seven Days' Battles, 25 June-1 July 1862. Includes Berkeley and Westover plantations in Charles City County, Va.
Across the top margin: "Copy of Official Map, made for 3rd Corps by R. K. Sneden, Topgr."
Key to this map includes symbols for earthworks, artillery, cavalry, and pickets.
NOTE: Researchers will be served a color photocopy of this diary page.
The map is not dated but illustrates the location where McClellan retreated after he failed to take Richmond in June 1862.
