Love and beauty--Sartjee the Hottentot Venus, British Cartoon Print

Print shows Sarah Baartman, a South African woman known as the Hottentot Venus, mostly naked, holding a long pole and smoking a pipe. A cupid sits on her exaggerated derriere saying "Take care of your hearts."

Hand-written below title: N.B. She was the first female ever came over to this Country- & was exhibited at Mr. Wigley's Rooms in Spring Gardens Cockspur St.
