Summary
Eight images taken on June 28, 1919 the day of the signing of the peace treaty ending World War I, at Versailles, France. Images show flags at the Place Vendome; crowds at the fountain, in the gardens and on the terrace outside of the Hall of Mirrors; French cavalry guarding the road leading to the palace, the French Republican Guard, and two of twelve "poilus" (French soldiers) invited to the ceremony.
