Will lead Democrats in Senate this session. Washington, D.C., Dec. 31. After a harmonious caucus which lasted only 20 minutes, Senate Democrats today re-elected unanimously Senator Alben W. Barkley as Majority Leader. At the same time, Senator J. Ham Lewis of Illinois, who considered resigning announced that at the request of President Roosevelt he would continue as Democratic Party Whip of the Senate.
