Summary

Four Confederates lie dead, while a Union soldier looks on, bridge in background.

Inscribed on verso: Six Rebel Pickets- lay dead in front of this city, and up to sunday were not buried- they wore the U.S. overcoat over the secesch.-they were killed when the Union forces were building the Pontoon bridge- a good many lay scattered around with dead horses.
